Byline: Mr A. Jappy

NOW that the new bosses of the BBC have been in their jobs for a few weeks, it's about time they looked at the amount of money that's being wasted on non-essentials.

For example, whyon earth dowe need a panel of four people to sit around a table at Euro 2004 discussing a game of football that only lasts 90 minutes? These people will be living in five-star hotels, getting all sorts of expenses and no doubt flying first-class. All being paid for by the British public through their TV licence.

Really all that is needed is 'know-all' Alan Hansen as he is the only onewho does all the talking.

Mr A. Jappy, Eyemouth
