Your Poems; God's Angels Have Taken the Mickey.

WE'D love to last for evermore But we know that life must end And a measure of our time on earth Might be how many call you friend Mickey Finn has faced one final task A tough battle that he could not win Here's to the laughter and happiness Brought about by the great Mickey Finn Did Mickey know the end was near? Had he sensed it for a while? Did he show a face of bravery? While encouraging us all to smile? This is my tribute to a gentleman A great comedian and clown He made us smile he made us laugh Cheered us up when we felt down There's a special place in heaven Where Scouse comedians take their rest They've just made room for another star Micky Finn, he was one of the best.

The Huyton Poet NATURE table in classroom, offerings on Oak leaves, pine cones, flowers in bright among these is a sad little wilting nosegay Behind the nature table stands The teacher sad and careworn Picking at her necklace Noisy children; claustrophobic room She's wilting in the heat Tired, filled with gloom Nosegay almost dead; teacher lonely, sad.
