Your Poem.

THE SUNDAY ECHO AND ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS (TO BE SUNG TO THIS TUNE) Onward Christian soldiers There's brand new joys galore We're getting a Sunday ECHO I hope for ever more It's bound to sell like hot cakes So here's what you must do Leave your barracks early And join a mighty queue Shot guns at the ready All face the deadly foe Each ECHO a real bargain At 50 pence or so When we lost the Daily Post I thought we'd lost the war Like my Dad at Dunkirk I was wet and very sore But with this new weapon To use against the hun We'll outsell the opposition So there''ll be some fun I hope the Sunday ECHO Retains the things we know Like Your Poem on the Letters page Where creative people glow So that is it me hearties Our flags are now unfurled And to The Sunday ECHO Welcome to our world.
