Q I HAVE a Rubik's Cube designed at the time of Charles's wedding to Diana. It is in good condition (though not quite completed). Is it rare? Or valuable?

- Simon Whittam, Kingsand, Cornwall

A THIS amazing puzzle was created in Hungary in 1974 by Erno Rubik, but didn't take off until 1980 when it won the Toy of the Year Award and was the number one must-have. The official wedding cube was made by P. G . Continental Inc. in 1981, but there are several others out there too. Your one (inset) features Charles, Diana, a Welsh Dragon, the Cross of St. George, Cross of St. Andrew and a Union Jack. It was made in Taiwan in 1981 and is probably worth pounds 30 to pounds 40 with packaging.

Q WE had an elderly friend whose husband was John Comer, who played Sid in BBC TV's Last Of The Summer Wine. John also acted with Peter Sellers and the two became friends. We are fortunate to have been given letters from Peter to John.

Are they of any value? And where's the best place for a valuation? - Alan and Joyce Cowin, email

A ALTHOUGH John was a star in his own right, the real interest here would be to fans of Peter Sellers. The key is the content of the letters. Did they reveal interesting personal thoughts about his work, his colleagues or his life in general? If they do, they are probably specialist auction pieces and could be worth hundreds of pounds or more each. If they are simply best wishes-type messages, then probably around pounds 100-pounds 150. I would contact a specialist at the film department of a good auction house and arrange a visit.

Q I HAVE a Beatrix Potter character called Mrs Tiggy Winkle made by Beswick. I wonder if you could help with its value? Pete Vanschie, email

A BESWICK are perhaps most famous for their long line of delightful Beatrix Potter figurines. The earliest ones are most valuable and some of the more recent ones can make a mint too. I believe yours to be the BP2 style, a small size modelled by Arthur Gredington, issued between 1972 and 2000. It could be worth pounds 80-pounds 100 in good condition.
