Your Money: STOP INDIAN TAKE-AWAY.
Byline: JOHN HUSBAND, KEVAN REILLY and ANNA DAYFIRMS switching call centre jobs to India have been warned they risk losing business.
Over 8,000 jobs have been exported in the past month by firms such as Royal & Sun Alliance and Norwich Union.
But Andy Pelley of credit broker Loans.co.uk said: "You can't offer good service from 6,000 miles away."
He said a third of UK customers would take their business elsewhere if a firm used an overseas call centre.
HSBC, Abbey, Barclays Lloyds TSB and Prudential are already in India.
