Your Life: Dear Miriam - My ex sells sex; ADVICE.

Byline: DR. MIRIAM STOPPARD

Dear Miriam,

My ex-girlfriend and I broke up a year ago when she became a lap dancer to pay off her overdraft. I couldn't stand the idea of men hitting on her.

She still tells me she loves me when we meet now and then but my friends say she has a sugar daddy she's using for his money. I haven't been with any other women since her. What can I do?

Andy

Dear Andy,

You can't impose your morality on her any more than she can try to bully you into believing her life is wholesome.

As you don't share the same values, what's the point of continuing this relationship? Do you really want to be with a person who sleeps with men for easy money? You two are incompatible. It takes a certain type of man to date a sex worker and you're not one of them.
