Your LETTERS: Welcome marina.

Byline: Richard Williams

I REFER to the planned Pwllheli marina extension. On the negative side some individuals say that the Welsh language is further eroded.

Surely with more money in the economy overall, more can be spent on educating the incomers to learn the natural language.

However, some English-only speakers have lived here for years but have not learnt any Welsh.

Surely some individuals have a better capability at learning languages.

Otherwise, with both main routes into the Lloen being improved the extension (marina) would create jobs.

The worry remains that incomers will force up value real estate. But surely with an economy becoming more vibrant more will be spent on council housing.

With more people wishing to share with us this beautiful area, why dissuade them?
