NOW into its sixth year, the BSS Spotlight stage school is back at the Birmingham Hippodrome from tomorrow for a ten-week spring term course offering a mixture of non-pressured acting, dancing and singing elements.
Scores of children - many of whom starred in Cinderella before Christmas - will take on multiple roles in the end-of-term shows in The Patrick Centre on Saturday, March 17.
Six to ten-year-olds practice from 10am-12.30pm every Saturday (pounds 14.99 per week) and 11 to 18-year-olds from 10am-1pm (pounds 19.99 pw).

MUSIC AND MIRTH
ON Monday at 8pm, the Matthew Jones Music Night plays the Old Joint Stock Theatre, Temple Row. Tickets pounds 11.
Every month there will be special guests and music ranging from jazz and musical theatre to classical, ballads and standard favourites.
There's a comedy night at 8pm on Friday, January 19, (tickets pounds 10) and you can hear Caramany - 'grown up music for the soul' - from 8.30pm on Thursday 25 (Tickets pounds 11).

THE Rev Canon Peter Howell-Jones relaunches his weekly series of free lunchtime talks at St Philip's Cathedral from 1.10pm - 1.40pm on Tuesday. Difficult questions and serious hesitations are addressed in the light of a contemporary reading of scripture.
TAKE A DANCE STANCE
CHILDREN'S weekend dance courses begin again at the Midland Arts Centre in Cannon Hill from tomorrow.
Brilliant teacher Shantina Allen returns with Mini Movers (5-7) from 9.15am-10am and Children's Creative Dance (3-5) from 10.05am-10.35am.
Young People's Drama (6-8) and Creative Drama Group (8+) run on Saturdays from 9.15am-10.45am and from 11am-1pm respectively.
Ballet for ages 3-5, 5-7 and 7-9 is held from 4.15pm-4.45pm, 4.45pm-5.30pm and 5.30pm-6.30pm on Wednesdays.
MAC Youth Theatre runs from 7pm-9.30pm on Wednesdays, when there is also a circus club from 5pm-6.30pm for eight to 14-year-olds.
Children can also join various musical courses at times various throughout the week, including violin (Monday, 4.30pm-8pm / Tuesday, 4.30pm-7.30pm), piano (Sunday, 10am-3pm), guitar (Wednesday, 6pm-8pm' Saturday, 9.30am-3pm) and drumming (Sunday, 10am- 11am beginners' 11am-noon intermediates' noon-1pm advanced).
