You will see Xmas snow 8 times; MERRY CHRISTMAS..

THE average Brit will see a white Christmas just eight times during their life.

Fuelled by the Bing Crosby hit, three-quarters of adults hope for snow on Christmas Day every year, according to a study.

But almost 30 per cent of Brits claim they have never seen a white Christmas, the survey of 2000 people for Travelodge found.

Aberdeen tops the list of cities most likely to have a white Christmas Day, with residents enjoying one every 2.2 years on average.

Glasgow is next on the list at every 4.7 years.

But people in Sunderland are the least likely to see snow on Christmas Day.

They will only get a white Christmas every 16.5 years.

The survey also suggested nine per cent of Brits will travel to places that are more likely to have snow on Christmas Day - with Scotland being the most popular destination.
