You say: Smoke at home.

I AM a non-smoker, and cannot believe the comments some people make on the issue of smoking in public places (ECHO Letters 10 Nov).

Don't these people understand the ban has been put in place to protect WORKERS as well as customers?

One writer suggests that the staff in these pubs/clubs find jobs in places that serve food. Why should they?

What if they couldn't get another job? They are entitled to breathe clean air whilst earning an honest buck.

I am sick to death of hearing about smokers' flippin rights! No-one is stopping them from smoking at home, away from the rest of us. At present WE don't get a choice and haven't had for years, so why should smokers?

They don't give a fig about their own health so to hell with other people's.
