WELL done ECHO for publishing a good news story on the Japanese akitas and their training. As a point of interest on the akita,Helen Keller, a great lady of the 20thcentury, who was born blind, deaf and, consequently dumb, was given a dog by the Japanese people and he was her constant companion and, when he died, she was sent another.

Such are the capacities and quality of thesedogs, sobig, so gentle and intelligent.
