You can count on our accountancy courses; What's On / WIRRAL Met's next open evening takes place on Thursday, October 10, at 4.30-7pm. All campuses open.
WIRRAL Met offers a number of courses to kick-start your career in accounting - and there's still time to apply for courses starting this month.
Accountants help businesses organise their finances. From large firms to local high street companies, accounting and finance skills are at the heart of every business.
Wirral Met offers internationally recognised qualifications by the Associate of Accounting Technicians (AAT) at levels two, three and four.
The qualifications cover practical, real-world accounting skills that you can put to use from day one.
Whether you want to specialise in accountancy or book-keeping, or gain a base understanding to succeed in other areas of business, these sought-after skills will open doors to a broad range of exciting careers.
You can choose to study fulltime or part-time, so those with jobs and/or caring responsibilities can fit study in around their busy lives.
Level three and four apprenticeships in accounting are also available, giving you the opportunity to earn while you learn.
These apprenticeships are designed for applicants who are developing into roles such as assistant accountant, trainee accounting technician, accounts clerk, finance assistant, purchase ledger clerk and sales ledger clerk.
Student Sophie Keenan studied the AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting having progressed from the AAT Foundation Certificate.
Sophie developed her work experience by working in a busy finance department, putting into practice the skills that she learnt in the classroom. Sophie is now progressing on to a level 4 apprenticeship in accounting, having secured an apprenticeship with Wirral Met as a finance assistant.
Sophie said: "Wirral Met have given me the insight in to a fantastic career and my career prospects have significantly increased.
"I would recommend Wirral Met because the teaching has been excellent and it's been a very friendly atmosphere."
