You Say: Right to be a dad.

Byline: Dave Ellison

WITH regard to Mr. Lindley's (CPS) criticism of a member of Fathers 4 Justice protesting (ECHO, October 13). I'm afraid I believe his comments regarding the cost to the taxpayer of the protest to be misguided.

Perhaps he should take into account the effect on society by children from fatherless homes due to the legislation introduced by the Conservatives which is leading to the destruction of the nuclear family. The cost to the taxpayer caused by this is immense and the cost of the protest in Liverpool pales into insignificance, especially when the divorce industry costs the taxpayer pounds 30bn a year.

No man or woman, judge, lawyer or politician has a God-given or natural right to deny any child a loving and meaningful relationship with both parents. Yet this is happening on a frightening scale without the majority of public being aware due to the secrecy of the family courts
