You've got to be kidding; MOVIES.
As far as preposterous twist endings go, you might have thought M Night Shyamalan had it sewn up after The Village, Signs and Unbreakable. Well, he's got big competition from this by-the-numbers chiller about an evil adopted girl. While the poster promises "you'll never guess her secret", that's only because it's so mind-bogglingly daft.
Assembled from the identikit used to make The Good Son, The Bad Seed and Godsend, it's the tale of a youngish couple who adopt a nine-year-old Russian kid called Esther. Big mistake. Soon the little horror is terrorising her stepbrother and -sister, driving a wedge between her new parents and offing anyone who gets in her way.
Sticking closely to the conventions of the Evil Child movie genre, there are few surprises (or even scares) as we saunter towards that absurd ending. Just about worth a punt on DVD, perhaps, but prepare to be horrified for all the wrong reasons if you pay to see this at the cinema.
