You're all in for a real winter treat.
AFEAST for festive music lovers is on the cards on Teesside this season. For all the signs are set for seeing the year out on a definite high on both sides of the Tees, with a line-up of live gigs designed to delight.
Middlesbrough Town Hall is welcoming back a Teesside favourite in the shape of Young Rebel Set.
The Stockton indie band play their final show of the year on home turf on December 22 - their biggest UK show to date.
Fresh from a tour of west coast USA and Europe, the band will grace the stage in the Town Hall's main auditorium - last year, their Christmas show in The Crypt sold out in a matter of weeks.
Young Rebel Set kicked off 2014 with album Crocodile and have spent the year touring - including an appearance at Germany's Hurricane Festival alongside Arcade Fire, Pixies and Franz Ferdinand.
They have just announced new record deals with New West Records in America and V2 records in Benelux.
Coco and the Butterfields take to the stage at Stockton's Georgian Theatre tonight for a sell-out gig. The crowd favourites make a return to Teesside after their appearance at last year's Stockton Calling music fest - 2014 also saw them appear at Glastonbury with their brand of colourful, energetic and crowd-stamping pop and urban rap.
After a packed summer of festivals, The Magic Numbers will also play a special Christmas show at The Georgian Theatre on Wednesday, December 17.
Already sold out, support comes from Ren Harvieu and The Goat Roper Rodeo Band.
A week on Friday sees a return for the annual Idiot Savant Christmas Pageant, also at the Georgian.
Considered as one of the essential events in Teesside's festive calendar, it's certainly a carol service like no other, said a Tees Music Alliance spokesman.
"After disbanding almost nine years ago, the much-loved Teesside troupe now reform once a year to celebrate the festive season with a good old-fashioned sing-along."
Fans can expect songs from right across the Christmas spectrum, from carols to folk to a whole host of Christmas number one covers.
As well as a festive celebration, the pageant also showcases some of their favourite bands from Teesside's alternative music scene with weird-punks Pellethead, Billingham's indie two-piece Mouses, and a debut solo performance from multi-instrumentalist and Christmas Band regular James Leonard Hewitson.
The Broken Broadcast present A Christmas Broadcast at Stockton's The Green Room on Sunday, December 21. Support comes from Dressed Like Wolves and Teessider James Kruman.
