Yorkshire Egyptians.

EGYPTIANS in Yorkshire is the title of the next lecture by Huddersfield and District Archaeological Society.

Joann Fletcher, Honorary Research Fellow at York University will give the talk, at 7.45pm on Friday, in room T5/09 at Huddersfield University Barnsley-born Joann, has a degree in Ancient History and Egyptology from University College London and a PhD from Manchester.

She is well-known for her two programmes on BBC2 earlier this year examining the tomb of the architect of one the Pharaoh's tombs.

She is also guest curator of the Romans in Barnsley exhibition in the Experience Barnsley Museum, which runs until January 5. Non-HDAS members are welcome (entry PS2.50).
