Yorkshire Day event helps hospice funds.
WHITE Rose House care home, Holmfirth, raised cash for the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice via its Yorkshire Day celebrations.
The day included indoor welly wanging, flat cap frisbee and a Yorkshire quiz.
Manager Anne Cowgill said: "Everyone at White Rose House feels very strongly about being part of the local community and we are all delighted that our Yorkshire Day celebrations have enabled us to contribute to such an important local charity as Forget Me Not Children's Hospice."
Lynsey Marshall, community fundraiser for Forget Me Not Children's hospice, added: "We would like to say a big thank you to all of the residents at White Rose House for supporting Forget Me Not Children's hospice with their recent Yorkshire Day celebrations.
"It costs PS3.8m each year to run our charity and with just 6% of this coming from government funding, the support of our local community is vital."
