Yorkshire Cup football.

Volunteers are urgently needed to help organise and run the competition.

The committee have lost two of their stalwarts recently in Peter Eastwood and Gerry McEvoy and must recruit.

"Peter and Gerry were great workers for the tournament," said Peter Kenyon.

"They were willing to put themselves out to further junior football and this event in particular, and they will be sorely missed.

"So if anyone would like to give our new chairman Frank Beaumont and the committee a hand we would welcome them with open arms.

"If not, it could be difficult in the coming years to keep the tournament going, which would be a great shame as it is the only international event now backed by Kirklees."
