Yokohama Tire Philippines.

Yokohama Tire Philippines, a tire production and sales subsidiary of Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd., officially opened its plant in the Clark Special Economic Zone. The plant began mass production at a rate of 600 tires per day in January. At present, production is progressing at a rate of 2,500 tires per day, which is slated to increase to 5,000 tires per day by August, for a cumulative 1998 production of 1.2 million tires. Yokohama Tire Philippines was established as a joint venture between Yokohama Rubber and Kawasho Corp. to manufacture and export radial tires for passenger vehicles.
