Yokohama Rubber to Collaborate with Leading Retreader on European Marketing for Truck and Bus Tires.

Tokyo, Japan, Sept 21, 2006 - (JCN) - Yokohama Rubber today announced that its European marketing unit, Yokohama Europe GmbH, will collaborate with Brussels-based Bandag NV, a subsidiary of Bandag, Incorporated, on marketing for truck and bus tires.

Yokohama will market its truck and bus tires and promote retreading throughout Europe in collaboration with Bandag's network of some 200 franchisees, which provide retreading services by Bandag's proprietary process and offer a full range of new truck and bus tires as well as tire management services. Yokohama will also extend its casing warranty to cover the first retreading when performed by a Bandag franchisee.

Collaboration between Yokohama and Bandag, a global leader in retreading systems and services for truck and bus tires, began with joint marketing activities in the United States in the 1990s and has included similar activities in some countries in Europe since the late 1990s.
