Yieh Phui Enterprise to boost output of galvanized steel in China.
Taipei, June 29, 2011 (CENS) -- To meet influx of orders, Yieh Phui Enterprise Co., Ltd., a leading maker of galvanized steel in Taiwan, will set up another production line in Changshu, Jiangsu province, China, bringing the total to three in the city and seven in China.
Wu Lin-mao, president of Yieh Phui, said galvanized steel is being used for computer cases as well as servers, helping the maker build closer ties with globally-leading firms as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. and Whirlpool Co.
Admitting that Hon Hai has long been a major client of Yieh Phui, Wu said, with the emerging i-cloud era, the maker will likely see more orders from its major buyer Hon Hai as galvanized steel continues to be a building block of servers and LED (light emitting diode) TV parts, also noting Yieh Phui's galvanized steel is approved by tech firms, so is very competitive.
The maker approved at an annual shareholders meeting to pay NT$0.8 in dividends, including NT$0.3 in cash and NT$0.5 in stock per share.
The company scored NT$310 million in pretax earnings, or NT$0.2 per share, last year, with the vice chairman H.T. Liu noting profitability in the second half is dependent on the volatility of the NT-dollar against greenback.
