Yellow Pages Association Board Approves E-Billing and Electronic Tear Pages Library Initiatives.
The corrected release reads:
YELLOW PAGES ASSOCIATION BOARD APPROVES E-BILLING AND ELECTRONIC TEAR PAGES LIBRARY INITIATIVES
New ELITE(TM) component will have electronic invoicing; online directory library
Keeping pace with the digital age, the Yellow Pages Association(SM) (YPA(SM)) today announced it will add a new invoicing component to its current ELITE(TM) national Yellow Pages advertisement order processing system that will allow directory publishers to send electronic invoices, an invoice summary statement and electronic tear pages of client ads to Certified Marketing Representatives (CMRs) - all in a standard format and easy-to-use package.
The new system will also include an online library of more than 6,000 directory titles in a password-protected search engine that has tracking and reporting capabilities.
"The new billing system will offer the ability to transmit invoices and cover bills in an industry-standard file format that can electronically feed into CMR accounting systems," said Kathy Roush, YPA vice president of operations. "Benefits include improved quality, reduced cycle time, cost-savings, and more effective and efficient media planning, all produced from a comprehensive and easy-to-use directory library source."
The directories will be searchable by several criteria, including: Yellow Pages heading, client name, state and directory. The electronic invoices will appear in CMRs' ELITE mailboxes, along with individual elements that can be downloaded.
Beta-testing will begin in fourth quarter 2005, and the system is expected to be operational by January 2006. Global Exchange Services developed and hosts the current ELITE system at its data center in Brook Park, Ohio, Data Center. The ELITE system processes more than $2 billion in national Yellow Pages orders and more than 10 million transactions annually.
"Publishers and CMRs asked for a more comprehensive system, and we have developed one that includes ordering, graphics, cover bills, invoices, proof of publication tear pages and more - all in one convenient, electronic package," said YPA President Neg Norton. "This will allow us to bring the billing processes for both publishers and CMRs in line with the current development of the ELITE Order & Graphics modules and to keep pace with the technology curve for our members. Ultimately, we plan to evolve this system to include other platforms, such as Internet Yellow Pages."
