Year One (Sky Movies Premiere, 8pm).

HAROLD Ramis''s ramshackle road movie through the Paleolithic era follows incompetent duo Zed and Oh, two caveman banished from their tribe, who embark on a quest of self-discovery through an ancient world riddled with danger.

The story merrily incorporates biblical references, which beg unfavourable comparisons with Monty Python''s Life of Brian, but the stewardship of Jack Black and Michael Cera, two of the most gifted comic actors of their generations, takes this effort to another level.

Black is great in another of his usual over-the-top stoner performances.

Stanley Tucci was cast to play biblical character Noah in the film, but after Evan Almighty failed at the box office the character was cut from the film.
