Yarmouk University, George Mason University discuss cooperation.

Yarmouk University (YU) president Sultan Abu Orabi on Sunday discussed with president of the U.S. George Mason University Alan Merten scientific cooperation between the two academic institutions.

The two sides also tackled prospects to cut deals on joint scientific cooperation covering all academic and research fields, exchanging visits by university staff, providing facilities for the admission of Yarmouk students and reducing tuition fees.

Merten said his university would offer scholarships to a number of Yarmouk students in various specialisations.

Orabi said that YU would foster cooperation with George Mason University, mainly in the scientific field.

George Mason University, located in the heart of Northern Virginia's technology corridor near Washington, is an innovative, entrepreneurial institution with strong undergraduate and graduate degree programs in engineering, information technology, biotechnology and health care.
