Yale Robbins publishes '92 construction guide.

Yale Robbins, Inc., New York City-based publishers of residential guides, newsletters, and market surveys, has released the latest edition of its Guide to Construction Activity.

The comprehensive directory provides a survey of the city's commercial and residential market, including plans for more than 35,000 apartment units and more than 106 million square feet of new and proposed office building development.

In announcing the latest edition, company president, Yale Robbins said, "While construction activity in the city has suffered during the current recession, the residential and commercial real estate markets have experienced some growth. This year's Guide To Construction Activity is the guide for anyone who wants, or needs, to stay current on the state of construction activity in Manhattan."

The 1992 edition features coverage of more than 287 new residential projects in Manhattan, as well as more than 54 office buildings in New York City, Westchester, Connecticut and New Jersey in various stages of planning and construction. The 123-page guide is fully illustrated with maps, tables and renderings.

The Guide To Construction Activity provides detailed descriptions of more than 35,000 subsidized and non-subsidized residential units under construction and proposed for future development. Each building listing includes a completion date, developer, architect and current construction status. The guide also identifies the type of construction, and whether ownership is coop, condo or rental.

Separate sections focus on office building construction in Manhattan, Connecticut, Westchester and the surrounding counties, as well as New Jersey. Buildings currently under construction (or completed within the last 12 months), are illustrated with renderings or photos and descriptions of the project. In addition, a series of charts detail projects which are proposed for development in the future.

Robbins believes that, in addition to the wealth of information provided, the guide's popularity can be explained in part by the easy-to-access format. "No one wants to waste their time digging for the information they need. That's why we've included a series of indexes, tables and charts to simply the task of locating major projects. You can access the project you need quickly, in a variety of ways- by address, neighborhood, size, building name, developer (phone numbers are included) and architect."

The Guide can be ordered from the company. Yale Robbins, Inc. is located at 31 East 28th Street, New York, New York 10016. Anyone interested in more information on this publicatiion, may contact the company directly at (212) 683-5700.
