 YUKON ANNOUNCES INTENT TO MERGE; NAMES NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO
 ST. PAUL, Minn., May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Yukon Energy Corporation (NASDAQ: YUKN) announced that it has entered into a letter of intent to acquire and merge with L.A.W. Machining and Manufacturing, Inc.; a privately held, Twin Cities-based manufacturing concern and the sole and complete manufacturer of Yukon products.
 In addition, the company announced that it is currently exploring a variety of strategic alliances which could provide Yukon with additional financing and market expansion opportunities.
 Yukon's board of directors named Leroy Walkner, president of L.A.W., to the position of president and chief executive officer of Yukon effective immediately. The company further announced that Richard E. Lloyd has rejoined Yukon as its chief financial officer.
 Additionally, the company announced that Robert M. Linsmayer of St. Paul, has been named to its board of directors replacing LaVern E. Smith, a Yukon director since 1985, who resigned.
 Yukon Energy Corporation develops, manufactures and markets a variety of energy-efficient residential and light commercial furnaces. These furnaces employ advanced heating technology and proprietary features to achieve total with substantial fuel savings. The company's product lines utilize various patented, advanced technologies; gas and oil-fired furnaces as well as multi-fuel furnaces which burn wood or coal in combination with oil, gas or electric fuel as standby. A line of patented wood boiler units has recently been introduced. Products are sold to heating equipment wholesalers, private-labeled manufactured for large marketing partners, as well as direct to consumers.
 The company's common stock is traded over-the-counter and quoted on NASDAQ under the symbol YUKN.
