YOUR SHOUT: BOY RACER.

Byline: PM

He wears a ski cap And very dark glasses He snarls at the traffic He eventually passes His twelve year old "Nova"

With a go-faster stripe And exhausts like a dustbin You know the type It sounds like a car From Formula One Hunched over the wheel Is somebody's son No room for passengers Just two big speakers The boom of the woofer The screech of the tweeters Enough noise from the bass To raise the roof Could loosen the filling From a passer-by's tooth The silencer system Wouldn't look out of place On a re-entry shuttle Returning from space With his foot to the metal He tries harder and harder But to his consternation He couldn't pass a Lada.
