YOUNG GARDENERS CELEBRATE EARTH DAY WITH BRIO GARDEN TOOLS
MILWAUKEE, Wis., March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Young gardeners, ages four and up, will enjoy fun-filled work and exercise playing with BRIO GardenTools(TM), from the company that makes Wooden Railway, Brio-Mec and Preschool toys.
The child-size rake, broom, shovel and spade give boys and girls a hands-on activity for outdoor play. Working a garden and exploring the Earth require plenty of physical activity, helping to develop children's gross motor skills. And since the tools are just like the ones moms and dads use, they're great for role playing.
These outdoor playthings are BRIO's first extension beyond indoor toys. According to Peter F. Reynolds, president of Brio Scanditoy Corp., "These products expand our range yet continue to support our philosophy of offering good toys that are fun, safe and challenging for children."
Safe and durable, Brio GardenTools have wooden handles securely attached to the metal piece. They are painted in non-toxic, child- pleasing colors of red, blue and green and measure about 29 inches long. All Brio toys are carefully tested to meet or exceed all national and international safety standards.
BRIO GardenTools will be available at specialty toy stores this spring for $10 each, $40 for the complete set. For a list of specialty toy retailers, contact BRIO toll-free at 1-800-558-6863, ext. 5.
BRIO Scanditoy Corporation is the United States subsidiary of Sweden-based BRIO AB, the world's largest manufacturer of wooden toys. The Milwaukee-based operation employs 30 people in its 54,400-square- foot sales and distribution facility.
