GILL Whitley runs a helpline called Searching for a Memory, where she reunites friends and families who have lost touch.But she has come unstuck on one particular project and is asking Remember When readers for help.
Gill, of Holyhead, Anglesey, writes: I am hoping some one will be able to assist in my search for a gentleman by the name of John Morrison Stoddart who was born in August 1934-1937 and lived in Eston, Middlesbrough. He has a brother Joseph and sisters Mary, Margaret and Dorothy.
He is the son of Mr and Mrs T E Stoddart, sorry actual christian names not known. They ran a Post Office in Eston in the mid-1950s.
When John did his National Service he enlisted with the Green Howards and went to Cyprus.
