YOU'VE NEVER AD IT SO GOOD, BECKS; Scandal star cashing in.

Byline: By Keith McLeod

FOOTBALL moneybags David Beckham was still raking it in yesterday despite his sex scandal.

He launched his new Adidas Beckham Predator Pulse boots in London just days after he was signed up for a pounds 40million contract with razor giants Gillette.

The England captain's bankability has stunned media analysts who said his value would plummet following allegations of adultery by his former personal assistant Rebecca Loos.

The Real Madrid star went back to his roots yesterday to launch the new footwear showing up at the Sedgewick sports shop in Walthamstow, East London, where his parents bought him his very first football boots in the 1980s.

And the smile shows that all the lurid claims of extra-marital affairs which he has branded ludicrous have had no impact on his money-making potential.

In fact, he's laughing all the way to the bank with new deals that confirm he is the highest-paid British advertising star of all time.

Endorsements have helped Becks and wife Victoria amass a fortune of pounds 65million.

Beckham's link with Vodafone was worth pounds 1million, while he earned pounds 3million promoting Marks & Spencers boys clothing.

A deal with Pepsi netted pounds 2million and another with Castrol oil was worth pounds 500,000. He also pocketed a tidy sum from Police sunglasses.

In Japan, Becks earned pounds 250,000 for a three second slot on a TV ad where he said the words 'Fuji terebi'.

He also earned thousands from a deal with a chocolate biscuit company.

Even Victoria, whose pop career flopped in Japan, was paid a six-figure sum to advertise Daihatsu cars.

The new deals have been brokered by Beckham's new management company 19.

Ironically, the England skipper he said he would cut down on endorsements and concentrate on his football when he split with his former management team SFX last October.
