YINSURANCE PREMIUMS; Council take out PS1.4bn policy on their artworks.

Billy Connolly's famous banana boots are among the "treasures" insured for PS1.4billion by Glasgow PS1.4billion by Glasgow City Council.

The boots – created for the Big Yin by Glasgow artist Edmund Smith in 1975 – are among 1.4 million works of art in the city's collection. They are on display at the People's Palace.
