YESTERDAY'S HIGHLIGHTS.

vvThe nicely backed Andrew Balding newcomer Hidden Steps ultimately won division one of the median auction maiden at Lingfield going away, by half a length, but it did not look promising early on (touched 70) whereas favourite Aimez La Vie touched a low of 1.08 before the rail opened up for the winner and he picked up smartly.

vvDivision two was another close one, but backers of front-running favourite Conqueress could breathe easy once they saw a still of the finish, for having been headed (high of 22) Richard Kingscote had got her back up on the line to collar Prufrock (1.16), the only ride on the card for Jamie Spencer.

vvThe afternoon started with a desperately tight finish to the nursery and Altiko Tommy looked to have it under top weight (low of 1.2) before Madam Prancealot and title chasing Jim Crowley (high of 46) got back up on the line.
