vvRock Of Monaco landed a big gamble in the 7f nursery at Wolverhampton. The handicap debutant had been available at 13-2 in the morning, but was backed to 2-1 favourite before scoring cosily by half a length and trading at no bigger than 4 in running on Betfair to give trainer Antony Brittain his first winner on the all-weather.

vvWalaaa raced freely and looked in trouble when dropping to fifth under pressure in the straight in the 6f nursery at Kempton, but layers who pushed the 5-1 shot to 320 in running were stung when she finished strongly to catch longtime leader Deer Song. It was an agonising defeat for supporters of the runner-up, who had touched 1.15 when coming well clear in the home straight.

vvWho's Micky Brown travelled well and traded at 1.17 when challenging in the bumper at Plumpton but he hit that mark without getting to the front and he couldn't get past 7-4 winner Midnight Tune, who had hit 5.
