YER ROLLS-ROYCE IS CUSHTY 'CHELLE.

Byline: NICK OWENS

YOU'LL never Adam and Eve it... but Corrie stars are trying to cheer up Michelle Collins by talking to her in Cockney rhyming slang.

The former EastEnder has been panned by viewers for her dodgy northern accent while playing the Street's new Rovers landlady Stella Price.

But in an attempt to raise her spirits, Ryan Thomas, 27, who plays mechanic Jason Grimshaw, started putting on a Cockney accent when talking to Michelle, 50, (below) during a break in filming.

She was left in such hysterics by jokes about her Rolls-Royce - voice - that the rest of the cast have now joined in.

Yesterday an insider said: "Michelle has been having a really tough time of it lately. This was the cast's way of saying they are on her side. It really cheered her up."

Last week Corrie boss Phil Collinson defended her, saying: "We are really happy with Michelle's performance."
