YAROSLAVSKY GOES ON-LINE WITH CHAT SITE.

Byline: David Bloom Daily News Staff Writer

Los Angeles County residents who want to send their gripes, suggestions or compliments to a county supervisor via computer now have a way.

Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky announced the opening this week of his new World-Wide Web home page and e-mail address. He is the first supervisor to offer such a service.

Yaroslavsky, who represents much of the San Fernando Valley and western county, can be reached at zevco.la.ca.us for electronic mail through the Internet.

People with access to the World-Wide Web on the Internet can reach Yaroslavsky's home page directly at http://www.co.la.ca.us/bos/zev or at http://www.co.la.ca.us through the L.A. County Online home page.

Among web page offerings: a biography of Yaroslavsky, a list of his achievements and information on the district.

The supervisor said Wednesday that he's still learning to use his high-tech office.

"I called my daughter to say I had an e-mail address today and she said, 'But Dad, do you know how to use it?' I assured her I was going to learn how to operate it myself," Yaroslavsky said.

The supervisor will personally answer at least some of his electronic mail, said Press Deputy Joel Bellman.
