XPLOR INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES VISION '97

The Electronic Document Systems Association Sets Dates and Agenda
for its Second Annual Vendor Interaction Symposium
TORRANCE, Calif., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Xplor International announced today that its second annual Vendor Interaction Symposium, Vision '97, will take place April 27-29, 1994, at the Wyndham Paradise Valley Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz. The symposium will focus attention on the technology requirements that address customer needs through 1997, with the emphasis on information, opportunities and networking.
According to Symposium Chairperson Pat McGrew, EDPP, president and chief executive officer of GenText Inc., Vision '97 is designed to bring together the best and the brightest of the vendors in this field in the only partnering event of its kind. "Our challenge for Vision '97 is to ensure that we focus the agenda on news you can use. Vision '97 brings together the innovators and technology gurus in the electronic document systems industry to provide a focus on the changes and trends in our industry ... only at Vision '97 can you network with the vendors who lead the industry in innovation," McGrew explained.
The three-day symposium will draw participants from the electronic vendor community including Adobe Systems, Delphax Systems, Eastman Kodak, IBM/Pennant Systems, Siemens Nixdorf Printing Systems, Standard Register and Xerox. Also attending will be industry consultants, observers, and users acting as session leaders.
Industry leaders have been asked to assemble in-depth presentations on archiving, color management, forms automation, future needs of the service bureau, multifunctional document processing, postal automation, pre- and post-processing, scanning and image capture, and print on demand solutions. An opportunity for vendors to display their latest innovations at table top technology demonstrations will also be provided.
Special features include keynote speaker Guy Kawasaki, formerly with Apple Computers, and a unique CIO panel, assembled from leading industry companies to discuss their vision in terms of their requirements and blue-sky desires. Xplor will be announcing more symposium highlights as they become available.
"If you can make it to Vision '97, you can join us as we continue to blaze the path that keeps us ahead of the pack in electronic document technology. This is going to become a more important conference every year as the pace of technology changes continues to increase," predicted McGrew.
