XPLOR INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES VENDOR INTERACTION SYMPOSIUM VISION '96
Leading Electronic Document Systems Industry Association
 Creates Symposium for Vendor Community
PALOS VERDES, Calif., July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- In the spring of 1993 XPLOR International will launch its Vision '96, the first annual Vendor Interaction Symposium, which will take place April 25-28 in Denver, at the Marriott City Center Hotel. The symposium will focus attention on the technology requirements that address customer needs through 1996, with the emphasis on information, opportunities, and networking.
According to Tony Sassi of SassPro Associates, symposium chairperson of XPLOR's Vision '96, this will be the first vendor-to- vendor gathering sponsored by XPLOR International. "Vision '96 was born out of the need for XPLOR vendors to better understand the role of technology required to address customer application needs. This longer term outlook of document technology provides XPLOR vendors an opportunity to properly plan their development activities and to exploit integration and partnering within the vendor community," Sassi explained. "In the end, XPLOR users will benefit through the availability of customer-driven products."
The three-day symposium will draw participants from the electronic vendor community including Delphax Systems, Eastman Kodak, IBM/Pennant Systems, Siemens Nixdorf Printing Systems, and Xerox. Also attending will be industry consultants, observers, and users acting as session leaders. Entrepreneurial organizations will also be in attendance demonstrating advanced technology.
Symposium sessions are designed to provide a forum for technology future directions, give visionary customers an opportunity to present their view of technology requirements, allow interchange among key industry organizations, demonstrate new technology, and facilitate partnering discussion among vendors.
Tutorial and technology sessions will focus on such topics as color documents, electronic forms, multi-functional document processing devices, pre- and post-processing equipment for printed documents, print description languages, and print servers and gateways. For more information regarding attendance, demonstrations and presentations, contact Carol Anderson, conference manager, at XPLOR headquarters, ext. 103.
XPLOR International provides forums, programs and services which enhance the use of electronic document systems to achieve organizational goals.
