XPLOR INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES ITS 14TH ANNUAL ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT SYSTEMS CONFERENCE & EXHIBIT

 TORRANCE, Calif., July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Xplor International, the leading professional association for the electronic document systems industry, will be holding its 14th Annual Electronic Document Systems Conference & Exhibit on Nov. 14-19, 1993, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, announced Jim Bransford, president of Xplor International.
 "No other conference can offer the depth of technical information for the electronic document systems professional," said Bransford. "The conference will explore new technology, new applications and new methodologies for the use and implementation of electronic documents, all in keeping with this year's theme of 'Xploring New Heights.'"
 More than 160 state-of-the-art technical and application sessions, industry reports, workshops, informal roundtables and a three-day exhibit featuring the latest advancements in information technology will be offered. Nearly 6,500 industry professionals from around the world are expected to attend.
 According to Patty Franklin, conference program coordinator, "We have received a tremendous response to our `Call for Papers.' The Conference Committee is pleased to report that the majority of session topics, speakers and exhibitors have been confirmed."
 Opening and closing keynote speakers will be Tom Peters and Nancy Austin, respectively, co-authors of "A Passion for Excellence: The Leadership Difference." Peters will deliver his address on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 14, and Austin will speak on Friday morning, Nov. 19.
 Monday morning, Nov. 15, will be devoted to the Vendor Directions Panel. Speakers representing printer vendors who have established Joint Technology Councils with Xplor will share their companies' directions and vision for the industry. The panel includes Alex Cimochowski, president and chief executive officer of Delphax Systems; Edgar J. Greco, vice president of Eastman Kodak Co.'s Office Imaging Division; James T. Vanderslice, president of Pennant Systems; H. Werner Krause, president and chief executive officer of Siemens Nixdorf Printing Systems; and John Lopiano, president of Xerox Corp.'s Printing Systems Division.
 The future of the industry continues to be discussed in a new session titled "Future of the Document -- Technology Update." The theme continues Friday morning, Nov. 19, with the Window on the Future panel. Industry consultants will comment on key trends and breakthroughs. Panelists include Romeyn Stevenson of the Ashburnham Group, Rob Auster of BIS Strategic Decisions, Gillian Mace of DataQuest, Robert Sherry of the Gartner Group, Angele Boyd of IDC and Charles A. Pesko of Imaging World Magazine.
 Xplor will be announcing more conference highlights as they become available.
