XPLOR INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES EIGHTH ANNUAL EUROPEAN CONFERENCE; PRESIDENTS FROM PENNANT SYSTEMS, NIPSON AND XEROX TO PRESENT

 PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Xplor International will hold its Eighth Annual European Electronic Document Systems Conference & Exhibit at the Netherlands Congress Centre in The Hague, The Netherlands, on June 7-10, 1993.
 Xplor International is the electronic document systems association serving eight regions on five continents and dedicated to providing educational opportunities for the industry professional.
 Highlights of the conference include state-of-the-art technical and application sessions, industry reports, workshops, informal roundtables, and a two-day exhibit featuring the latest technology from the electronic document systems industry. Conference session topics include color, imaging, network printing, forms and document design systems, direct mail, mail automation, standards, publishing, plus connectivity and environmental issues. Translations into Dutch, English, French and German will be provided for selected sessions.
 The conference will open with two Vendor Directions Panels featuring industry leaders. Sharing their views on industry trends and directions in the morning session will be Dr. James Vanderslice, president of IBM/Pennant Systems Corp. (U.S.) and John Lopiano, president of Xerox Corp.'s Printing Systems Division (U.S.). In the afternoon session, Jean Mourier, president of NIPSON Printing Systems (FR) will be joined by Mark Davies of Delphax Systems (U.K.) and Peter Meier of Eastman Kodak Co. (U.K.).
 New this year will be an Industry/Technology Directions session. Bob Hazel, client services director of Computer Operations for Barclays Bank (U.K.), will discuss his company's ambitious implementation of electronic document systems. David Chadwick of BIS Strategic Decisions (U.K.) will report on technology covering system reprographics, color, and ultra-high speed printing. Andrew Tribute of Seybold (U.K.) will provide an update on document distribution systems, as well as address trends such as on-demand color printers.
 A special Window on the Future session features Romeyn Stevenson of Ashburnham Group (CAN) reporting on "The New Economies and Methodologies and Their Effect on the Document Market." Speakers Bruce Damer and Basit Hamid of Elixir (Czech Republic) will be joined by their Prague Laboratory staff to update their work in Eastern Europe.
 Wiegert Tierie of Adobe Systems Europe BV (NL) will speak on the topic of "Document Communications." Adobe will be demonstrating their new Acrobat products, technology which will make possible for the first time universal electronic document communication.
 Other speakers from Australia, Germany, South Africa, Sweden, and Switzerland among others, will round out the curriculum covering subjects critical to the electronic document systems professional. For those involved in management, design, programming, forms creation, or operations, this Xplor Conference provides a unique opportunity to meet and exchange information within the world arena of electronic document printing and publishing.
 An extensive two-day exhibit will feature products and services for the electronic document community. Thirty manufacturers are expected to participate, including Delphax Systems, Elixir, GenText, Hunkeler, IBM/Pennant Systems, Lytrod Software, NIPSON Printing Systems, Prism Software, and Rank Xerox. New product announcements are anticipated; never-before-seen equipment and software products will be demonstrated in the exhibit and discussed during the sessions.
