XHIBITION FEATURES A WEALTH OF INFORMATION ON OPEN SYSTEMS, DISTRIBUTED
 COMPUTING
 CAMBRIDGE, Mass., June 15 /PRNewswire/ - The Xhibition 92 trade show and conference, opening today for a five-day run at the San Jose Convention Center, will bring together an unparalleled amount of information about open systems and distributed computing from industry experts, end users and the top vendors in the field.
 At Xhibition 92, some of the biggest players and newest start-ups in the open systems and distributed computing markets will unveil next- generation products and technologies. More than 100 companies will exhibit at the trade show, which opens Wednesday, June 17 at noon, and nearly a third are expected to introduce or demonstrate new products, including new applications running under the X Window System. Announcements are expected from Adobe, CrossWind Technology, Expert Object Corp., Microfield Graphics, NCR, Samsung and Uniface. Other highlights of Xhibition 92 will include:
 -- The keynote speech on Wednesday, June 17, at 11 a.m. in the
 center's ballroom by Larry Ellison, president, chief executive
 officer and co-founder of Oracle Corp.;
 -- The Distributed Enterprise Conference on June 16 - 17 designed
 specifically for executives and featuring industry experts and
 end users experienced with open systems environments;
 -- A plenary address entitled, "Axemakers of the 21st Century," by
 James Burke, award-winning producer of "Connections," television
 series and best-selling book surveying the history of technology
 and social change, on Thursday, June 18, in the ballroom;
 -- The Application Developers' Conference which will run June 16-17
 and offer detailed technical sessions; and
 -- The Technology Planners' Conference which will run from June
 18-19 and offer a close look at near-and long-term open systems
 implementation issues.
