XEROX TO OFFER PREMIUM PAPER FOR COLOR, PUBLISHING APPLICATIONS
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- A highly smooth xerographic bond paper, ideal for applications such as color xerography and desktop publishing, was announced today by Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX). The new image Series LX paper joins the Image Series line of premium papers introduced last year.
Image Series LX features a very white, high-brightness finish for crisp, faithful color reproduction, and a very smooth surface enabling superior solid area coverage for coyping halftones and graphics. This finish makes it well suited for creating high-quality color documents with both the Xerox 5775 digital color copier and Xerox 4850 highlight color laser printing system, and other color copiers and printers, as well as for black-and-white copying and printing.
Image Series LX also features a weight of 24 pounds compared to the more usual 20-pound standard xerographic bond. This gives documents a high-quality feel while helping to minimize curl.
Highly opaque to prevent show-through, the paper can be used for two-sided as well as single-sided copying. Its premium appearance also makes it suitable for use as stationery or for enhancing the presentation of business documents.
Image Series LX is available in 8-1/2 by 11 inch, 8-1/2 by 14 inch and 11 by 17 inch sizes. It is available in these sizes in cartons of 5,000, 4,000 and 2,500 sheets, respectively. It also is offered in a three-hole punch form in the 8-1/2 by 11 inch size.
The commercial list prices for single cartons of the 8-1/2 by 11 inch size papers are $97.50 and $99.75 for the three-hole punch form. List prices are $106.10 for the 8-1/2 by 14 inch carton and $97.50 for the 11 by 17 inch size. A variety of price plans are available.
Image Series LX can be ordered through the Xerox supplies sales force or by calling 800-822-2200.
