XEROX INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIPS
PALO ALTO, Calif., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Xerox International Partners, in business for less than a year, has amassed an array of customers that make it a formidable player in the desktop printer industry. The company announced today that it provides laser printer engines to a number of companies, including Compaq Computer Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation, Genicom Corporation, SunPics (a Sun Microsystems Inc. business) and Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX).
Xerox International Partners was formed on Oct. 1, 1991, by Xerox and its Japanese affiliate, Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd., for the purpose of marketing desktop print engines. The company sells print engines to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers who in turn sell the printers throughout the world under their own brand. Fuji Xerox and Xerox supply products to the partnership.
The president of Xerox International Partners is Yoichi Oshima, a member of the board of directors of Fuji Xerox and 24-year employee who has held a number of key operating and management positions. "Xerox International Partners has developed relationships with a group of high quality printer vendors," Oshima said. "We have leveraged the resources of both Xerox and Fuji Xerox to deliver desktop printer products and services that meet the requirements of our OEM partners and their end- user customers. We have the right products, programs and partners to be a major supplier in the high growth desktop printer marketplace."
Xerox pioneered laser printers nearly 20 years ago and has broad expertise in laser and other print technologies. Fuji Xerox has been manufacturing and marketing printers for nearly 15 years. Both Xerox and Fuji Xerox are recognized for their innovative products and their commitment to quality, a tradition that Xerox International Partners continues.
Xerox International Partners is headquartered in Palo Alto, Calif., with additional sales and support offices in the U.S. and Europe.
