XEROX INCREASES SALE, SERVICE AND RENTAL PRICES ON SELECTED DOCUMENT PROCESSING PRODUCTS

 ROCHESTER, N.Y., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Service price increases for most document processing products, ranging from 2 to 5 percent, were announced today by Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX). Rental price increases for selected products, ranging from 3 to 5 percent, were also announced.
 The increases are effective April 1, 1993, for most commercial customers. Increases for government customers will be effective at the beginning of their next contract.
 Full-service maintenance agreements for most current copier products will be increased between 2 and 4.5 percent. Not affected by the service price increases are the recently introduced Xerox 5300 series copiers.
 Service agreement prices for copier products that are no longer current but are still being supported will range from 3.5 to 10 percent.
 Rental prices are being increased for the Xerox 5090 duplicator and 5100 copier by 5 percent.
 Both service agreement and rental prices for the DocuTech Production Publisher Model 135 and DocuTech Network Publisher Model 135 are being increased 4.5 percent. In addition, the commercial list prices of these two models will increase by approximately 4 percent.
 Service contract prices for selected printing systems products are being increased between 3 and 5 percent.
 Prices for service contracts on facsimile products that are being supported though no longer current, are being increased 5 percent. Current facsimile products are not affected by the price increases.
 Also increased 5 percent are the service contracts for electronic typewriters and for impact printers.
