X-FACTOR STAR SIAN'S HEARTBREAKING TUG OF LOVE OVER BABY; Lads' mag favourite stopped from taking baby out of USA in bitter divorce.

THE mother of a Midland model and X Factor contestant has travelled to California to support her daughter in a bitter tug-oflove battle.

Sian Mitchell, voted by lads' mag FHM as one of the sexiest hairdressers in the world, has been barred from returning home with her baby.

The South Staffordshire beauty, who wowed fans in girl group Icandy on X Factor, has had a high society rift with her multi-millionaire hairstylist husband, Angus Mitchell.

She moved to Los Angeles to be with the heir to the Paul Mitchell haircare fortune last year.

But the marriage fell apart shortly after the birth of their son, Dylan. Now, she cannot take the child, born earlier this year, out of America until divorce proceedings are resolved.

Last night Sian's grandparents spoke of their torment over the legal drama that has engulfed the family.

Gran Pauline Morgan said: "Sian is very upset, and we just want to help.

"She just wants to come home for Christmas. We hope things can be sorted quickly. We're tired of all the stories."

Sian's mum, Debra, has left her Lichfield hairdressing business to be by her daughter's side, they revealed.

The celebrity split has stunned residents in the former pit community of Great Wyrley, where Sian was raised.

Villagers best remember the local girl done good as a member of fivepiece Icandy, who competed in Simon Cowell's telly talent competition in 2010.

They made it all the way to the boot camp stage but failed to progress to the live finals.

South Staffordshire MP Gavin Williamson has taken up his former constituent's case, and has presented a 154-name petition to Parliament, urging the Government to press for an early resolution - for everyone's sake.

Mr Williamson told the House of Commons: "My constituent Sian Mitchell moved to the United States last year, following her engagement and marriage to an American citizen.

"Sadly, shortly after the birth of her son earlier this year, her marriage fell apart.

"Her multi-millionaire husband, Angus Mitchell, has taken out court orders preventing Sian from taking her child out of the State of California until proceedings have been resolved, making it as difficult as possible for her to bring up her son in the way she wishes.

"Sian is away from her family and relies on their emotional support during this extremely difficult time.

"She is desperate to return home to the United Kingdom with her child to allow her family to have the chance to meet this little boy for the first time."

Speaking from his constituency office, Mr Williamson told the Sunday Mercury: "Everyone hopes for a resolution as quickly as possible in what has been a distressing case for all involved."

But reports from America suggest the rift between the couple has become increasingly acid, with filed court papers full of allegations and counter-allegations.

One thing is for sure. The shortlived fairytale is over for Sian, the former company PA who was swept off her feet after meeting Angus - 21 years her senior - at a London hair convention. The couple married in October 2014, after Sian moved to his $9 million Pacific Pallisades home.

But the relationship fell apart shortly after Dylan's birth on May 22, Mr Williamson said.

According to reports, Angus earned more than $26 million in 2013 and is worth an estimated $300 million.

He and partner Jean Paul DeJoria run John Paul Mitchell systems. DeJoria founded the company with Angus' father Paul in 1989 but Paul died of pancreatic cancer.

It is Angus' second marriage. His first, to Michelle Raab ended after three years.

Sian's Facebook page carries pictures of the couple in happier times. One image moved a friend to post: "The most beautiful couple inside and out."

That comment now has a very hollow ring to it.

Midland lass with star quality SEXY Sian burst on to TV screens in September 2010 with girl group Icandy as they made it into X Factor boot camp.

crowned Miss Coventry City. Proudly displaying her sash, Sian told the Sunday Mercury's sister Coventry Telegraph newspaper: "It was really good and a really nice evening. I met a lot of lovely people. I'm making myself available for charity events and looking at visiting children at the hospital."

Speaking on the eve of her big break, the then Sian Morgan said: "We are going to be cut off for a week, away from family and friends.

"We have had to choose two songs, one which we will sing without music and one with music.

"We have really stepped up the rehearsals over the last few weeks, practising every day and performing at schools and at proms."

In 2009, Sian made No 8 in lads mag FHM's list of the 100 sexiest hairdressers. A video of the scantily clad crimper is accompanied with the caption: "Meet Lichfield's sexiest stylist. The bad news is she's prescribing something called 'tinted moisturiser' and hates stubble. The good news is... well, just look at her."
