Wyse Technology announces Wyse Linux 6.3.
Thin computing company Wyse Technology announced on Thursday (8 June) the availability of Wyse Linux 6.3, the latest release of the Wyse Linux V6 products.
According to the company, Wyse Linux 6.3 offers support for 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN adapters and WPA-2 and 802.1x wireless authentication, improved SmartCard compatibility, enhanced authentication and security, and double-byte Asian language support. The release 6.3 is built on the feature set of Wyse Linux V6 that includes support for server-managed applications through Citrix MetaFrame and Microsoft Windows Terminal Server Edition, VPN security, Firefox web browser, local terminal emulation, and support for local printers and USB removable drives, the company claims. Wyse Linux 6.3 will be offered as a free software upgrade for current Wyse customers of the S50, V50, and 5150 SE thin clients. No other pricing details were disclosed.
