Wylie tribute to his 'partner in crime' Josie; SUNDAY SHORTS SUNDAY SHORTS.

MUSICIAN Pete Wylie told fans he was heartbroken after the death of Liverpool performer and artist Josie Jones.

Josie, known for her work with Big Hard Excellent Fish, was famous for her spoken word performance on 1989 track Imperfect List, which listed her pet hates and reflected political and social ills of the time.

Wylie wrote on Twitter: "My beautiful bezzie & ex partner in crime Josie Jones @ BHEXCELLENTFISH has gone. Heartbroken here.

"Love+WAH! Forever."

He shared a link to a YouTube video for Imperfect List and said Josie was "something special".

Imperfect List came about after dancer Michael Clark approached Josie Jones and Jake Walters of Big Hard Excellent Fish to write a piece of music for his work with the Phoenix Dance Company.

Josie, formerly of Wylie's Mighty Wah!, asked him to work with them on the track. It was re-recorded with Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins and released in 1990 with a remix by Andy Weatherall.

In 2004 it found a new audience when Morrissey began using it to open his shows.
