Wyken no match for a rampant Bell Green; CIU GAMES LEAGUE.
BRILLIANT Bell Green put Wyken in their place winning six of the seven games away in Ansty Road and lead Division One by eighteen points in the Carling CIU Games League.
Darts fives 7-0, darts 301 5-2 and a 4-1 snooker result pointed the way and these wins were followed up by whist 2-1, crib 4-3 and dominoes 3- 2.
One bright spot for Wyken was the 5-0 bagatelle whitewash as Bell Green lead in this section.
Secind-n-line Coombe also scored six at home to London Road.
A good 3-0 whist win almost insures Coombe will win that section and they won dominoes 4-1 and bagatelle 4-1.
London Road's 4-1 snooker win pushes them up to second place in that section but that was all the visitors could muster although Steve Foster/Brain Falconer joint-top the crib pairs in the aggregate. Crib 4-3, darts Fives 4-3 and darts 301 completed the six-timer.
Parkstone beat Lime Tree Park and look set for third place in the league.
But apart from a 6-1 crib win and 5-2 at darts Fives all the other games went to the wire with Lime Tree picking up dominoes through George Shankland and whist by pair Dave Stanford/M. Teasdale.
Walsgrave suddenly came to life banging in six at home in Woodway Lane against fellow strugglers Willenhall.
Five at crib and darts Fives sent them on their way and three fours at bagatelle (Ant Dell won the third game), snooker and darts 301 cemented their change of fortune.
Division Two leaders Hen Lane came back to winning ways scoring five at home to Railway.
A snooker whitewash and five at crib put Hen Lane on the right lines and 4-3 darts Fives and darts 301 ran Railway into the buffers.
Rowleys Green won 4-3 away to Radford making two fives at crib and darts 301 with Glyn Cooksley finishing on 154.
Radford tin-hatted their opponents at whist, won bagatelle 3-2 and darts Fives 4-3. Back came Rowleys to win dominoes 4-1, snooker 3-2 and win the match but Radford are still 13 points above them in second spot.
Green Lane won 5-1 at home to Cheylesmore in Leasowes Avenue.
Cheylesmore's only win was a 4-1 domino result but the Lane bettered that hitting five at crib.
The other three matches went to the wire with Mick Beardmore grabbing the snooker winner, Alex Wells/Andy Gardner took darts Fives and Mick Ireland darts 301.
