Writers, experts honored in NCADD celebration.
The organization also presented a Gold Key Award to Adele Smithers-Fornaci, president of The Christopher D. Smithers Foundation, for outstanding national contributions to the alcoholism field. "Mrs. Smithers-Fornaci is known for her outspoken voice on behalf of America's youth population, and she has been extremely interested in alcoholism programs for women and the elderly," an NCADD statement read.
