Wrinkle-Conscious Americans Now Have a New Longer Lasting Option In Getting Rid of Unwanted Lines and Wrinkles.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Radiance(TM), a new soft tissue augmentation product, is creating a stir among leading cosmetic dermatologists. Because the product lasts longer than collagen and perhaps longer than fat transplants, it is being used for treating smile lines, sculpting facial features and plumping lips. According to Kenneth Beer, M.D., clinical instructor in dermatology at The University of Miami and in private practice in West Palm Beach, Florida, Radiance has been used for years for treating various medical ailments. It was recently granted FDA approval and is now being used for cosmetic treatments.

Dr. Beer, whose high profile patients include celebrities and models, believes that Radiance represents the "next generation" of soft tissue augmentation. Because it has staying power not seen in other products, he thinks that patients who like various soft tissue augmentation products presently available will gradually migrate to this new treatment. Particularly likely to switch to this product are executives and other patients who do not have the time to go to their dermatologist every four to eight months.

"Radiance is showing great promise. The results are immediate and get better with time. In addition, they can last for two to four years." Because the product has a very low allergic reaction rate, testing is not required at the present time. Although the product is more expensive per treatment, the cost of correcting an area for a few years will most likely be far less expensive than present therapy due to the longevity of Radiance.

Radiance is made of hydroxyapatite, a natural material found in human bones and teeth. Cost of treatment with Radiance varies between $1,500 and $3,000, depending on the areas treated.
