Wrestling Queen Tammy Lynn Sytch Returns to Ring On TNN's Friday Night ECW WRESTLING Series.
Former WWF Star Known As "Sunny" Is Back In Action
Wrestling queen Tammy Lynn Sytch, whose "Sunny" character was one of the most popular female roles in wrestling annals, returns to the spotlight and national TV on TNN's ECW WRESTLING series, Friday night, Oct. 8 from 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT.
Sytch, who made her mark as one of the sexiest and most provocative wrestling queens while part of the WWF from 1996-97, joined the ECW in 1998. Personal problems forced her to take a leave from ECW in late 1998. Sytch, who will be re-united in the ring with her boyfriend Chris Candido as his manager, vows to reestablish herself as wrestling's preeminent female performer. During her "Sunny" days managing world champions at WWF, her popularity made her the top female download on America On Line in 1997.
"We are very pleased that Tammy has overcome her personal problems and is returning to ECW," says Paul Heyman, owner and executive producer of ECW. "She was the reigning sex symbol of wrestling and now ECW fans will have an opportunity to see her on a weekly basis."
ECW WRESTLING (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) is part of TNN's new Friday night "Thrill Zone" which also includes ROLLERJAM. Having celebrated its 16th anniversary on March 7, 1999, TNN is now seen in more than 81 million cable television homes in North America. TNN is owned by CBS and is a service of CBS Cable.
